Islington tops London crime rates outside Central London

Islington has the highest crime rate in London outside Central London, with 132 crimes per 1,000 residents, according to Home Office figures. Theft, robbery and drug offences rose across the capital, but overall crime fell by 3% in the year to March 2026.
