Aldi opens Edgware Road store creating 22 jobs and free fruit for first shoppers

Aldi’s new Edgware Road branch opened on 6 August 2026, hiring 22 local staff. The first 30 customers received free fruit and vegetables. Rory Gibbs, a gold medallist, cut the ribbon and will deliver a school assembly on nutrition in September.
