Charing Cross closure replaces 36-year-old track and platforms until 17 August

Charing Cross station is closed until 17 August while engineers replace every section of track between the terminus and Waterloo East. The work includes platform repairs, bridge repainting and new ventilation on the footbridge at Waterloo East, all coordinated during a single blockade.
