Westminster council seeks £6m to avert Waterloo Bridge closure

Westminster City Council has asked for £6 million to carry out urgent repairs on Waterloo Bridge after an inspection revealed water damage and 2 mm cracks. Without funding, weight restrictions or a complete closure could be imposed by 2030, officials say.
