UNESCO threatens Tower of London heritage status over City Plan 2040 office push

Historic England has raised serious concerns that the City of London Corporation’s draft City Plan 2040 could jeopardise the Tower of London’s UNESCO World Heritage status. Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook has ordered inspectors to review alternative development contours, pushing back the plan’s adoption.
