Croydon schools among London's most dangerous for road collisions

Croydon has been identified as the second most dangerous area in London for traffic collisions outside schools. Between 2021 and 2025, 483 collisions were recorded near 62 schools, averaging nearly eight per school. This comes after the removal of lollipop patrols and a high number of exemptions from school street restrictions.
