Newham Council placed family in unsafe Plaistow tower block despite safety warnings

Sahra Osman warned Newham Council about broken window restrictors in Jacobs House, Plaistow, where her son Aalim Ahmed fell to his death on 16 May 2024. The inquest heard the council knew of the family’s safety concerns but did not treat them as urgent. No verdict has been reached.
