London’s Metropolitan Police recorded its highest-ever success rate for stop and search in July, with officers finding weapons, drugs or evidence in 36% of stops. Met Police seize £4m cash and cocaine in Catford raid
Metropolitan Police recovered an estimated £4 million in cash and 1 kilogram of cocaine during searches in Catford on 29 July 2026. A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property after officers stopped his vehicle and found £35,000 in cash.
