Three deaths linked to St Helier lung doctor’s advice as 203 patients face review

Veronica Varney, a former St Helier Hospital consultant, was suspended after a review found her advice on flu jabs, rapeseed oil and off-label treatments contributed to three premature deaths. The trust will now examine 203 more of her interstitial lung disease patients, a process expected to take two years.
