Newham Council Knew Plaistow Tower Window Could Open Too Far Before Boy’s Death

An inquest heard Newham Council’s property manager said more restricted window features could have been installed at Jacobs House, Plaistow, where five-year-old Aalim Ahmed fell to his death on 16 May 2024. His parents had asked to be moved from the flat, which they said was unsafe for their autistic son.
