Hillingdon cuts school exclusions by 23 percent as national rates rise

Hillingdon Council recorded 33 permanent exclusions in 2024/25, a 23 percent drop from the previous year. Northwood School has avoided exclusions entirely for three years, using de-escalation techniques and a dedicated space for SEN pupils to reduce disruptions.
