Heatwave forces cancellation of over 1,000 NHS operations in London, nurses lose confidence in government action

A RCN poll of 2,471 nurses found high temperatures harmed patient care across London, with more than 1,000 operations cancelled in May and June. Seventy‑four per cent said they lack confidence the Government is acting on climate risks to the NHS.
