Sutton GCSE grade‑7+ rate hits 43.0% placing borough third nationally

On 20 August Sutton Council reported that 43.0 per cent of GCSE entries achieved grade 7 or above, ranking the borough third in England. The figure, up from 41.9 per cent in 2025, was hailed by councillors as evidence of strong schools and teachers.
