East Croydon footbridge to open in 2027 after 14-year delay

A footbridge at East Croydon station, closed since its 2013 construction, will open to the public in 2027. Croydon Council contributed £6 million to the project, which stalled due to planning omissions and safety standard updates. Work begins summer 2026.
