Hillingdon Council blocks 30-year racing centre lease renewal after talks stall

Hillingdon Council has refused to renew the lease for the West London Racing Centre, a volunteer-built facility in Pole Hill that has run STEM workshops and holiday activities for children since 1994. The centre says new terms would force it to close on weekdays, ending council-funded programmes.
