Transport for London has launched its new Superloop route, the SL12, connecting Gants Hill and Rainham. The service, which began on September 5, is the first Superloop expansion into the borough of Havering and offers free travel until September 11.
Fourteen fire engines and around 90 firefighters are battling a wildfire at Hornchurch Country Park in Havering. The London Fire Brigade has urged local residents to keep doors and windows closed due to significant smoke. The blaze follows warnings from the Mayor and fire chiefs about record wildfire risks.
