Barnet parks turn brown as England records driest July since 1911

Barnet’s parks have turned brown after England recorded its driest July since records began in 1911. The Met Office confirmed only 5.6mm of rainfall, less than half the previous low, leaving grass scorched across the borough and water restrictions possible.
