Fire destroys Hackney Road rooftop terrace, cause still unclear

A fire on Hackney Road in Hackney destroyed a rooftop terrace and half the roof of a building on 3 August 2026. London Fire Brigade attended the scene at 7:53am, bringing the fire under control by 8:47am. No injuries were reported, but the cause remains undetermined.
