Barnet student Matthew Kalyango's death in Manchester river prompts inquest

Matthew Buckwell Kalyango, a master's student from Burnt Oak, was found in the River Churwell on 22 July 2026. His family has raised £4,000 towards funeral costs as they seek answers. An inquest is scheduled for 13 August at Manchester City Coroner’s Court.
