John Galliano withdraws from Met Gala exhibition over past comments

British fashion designer John Galliano has withdrawn from a planned 2027 exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art that would have honoured his career. Galliano stated he remains accountable for past racist and antisemitic comments that caused pain, particularly to Jewish and Asian communities.
