London’s Metropolitan Police recorded its highest-ever success rate for stop and search in July, with officers finding weapons, drugs or evidence in 36% of stops. The force carried out 20% more searches last year, seizing 3,800 weapons and recovering illegal drugs over 27,800 times. A new delivery plan aims to improve fairness and accountability.
