Angel Tube station faces year-long closure over escalator replacement

Angel Underground station in Islington could close for up to a year as Transport for London plans to replace its three 200-ft escalators. The station serves nearly 12 million passengers annually, and the escalators are 35 years old and becoming unreliable.
