Woolwich Common fire closes A205 Academy Road and disrupts seven bus routes

A grass fire on Woolwich Common near Shrapnel Close forced the closure of the A205 Academy Road on 29 July, disrupting seven bus routes. Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters responded, bringing the fire under control within two hours.
