The club made approaches for Vinicius Jr and Julian Alvarez, but both players ultimately decided to remain with their current Spanish clubs. A move for Morgan Rogers also did not come to fruition. Christos Tzolis was the only attacking player signed by Arsenal during the window.

Speaking after the Champions League final in May, Arteta had called for Arsenal to be "very ambitious, very fast and very smart" in the transfer market.
