Brentford axe attack suspect arrested after man suffers life-changing injuries

A 63-year-old man from Brentford was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an axe attack on Transport Avenue on 4 August. The victim, a man in his 40s, remains in hospital with life-changing injuries, Metropolitan Police said.

Police were called to the scene at 10.20pm following reports of an assault involving an axe. Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service crews, who treated the victim before taking him to a major trauma centre in London.

Arrest made eight days after attack
