Hackney Council votes to end 58-year twinning with Haifa

Hackney Council has approved the first steps to terminate its twinning agreement with Haifa, following a Green party manifesto pledge. The decision, opposed by Labour and Conservative councillors, will be reviewed by a cross-party working group before final ratification in January 2027.
