Edward Smith, the council’s cabinet member for council assets and culture, stated that the grant would allow for investment back into the community. He added that the funding would build on the Dugdale's existing programme of diverse music events and support Enfield's music scene, increasing access to live music for local audiences. "With this grant funding, we can support homegrown talent and address the need for music spaces in Enfield," Smith said.
In partnership with Drumsheds at Meridian Water and other local organisations, the Dugdale will offer paid opportunities, industry masterclasses, networking events, and a mentoring programme. Cultural events and music programmer Lexy Morvaridi, formerly of the Southbank Centre, will produce the programme. Edmonton-based rapper Nine Levels and DJ & MC Academy founder Krissy Simms are involved as project ambassadors.

Additional screenings in Southwark follow the sell-out of all 173 initial 70mm sessions through September 10.
The grant will also fund a twelve-month schedule of live music events at the Dugdale, intended to showcase local and emerging talent.
